Why CGI is the ideal tool for food and beverage
Photographing liquids, glass bottles and premium packaging is technically one of the most demanding challenges in product photography. The reflections of glass, the behaviour of light inside liquids, condensation on a cold can or the controlled overflow of a beer glass are elements that in a physical shoot depend on conditions that are difficult to control and reproduce consistently.
CGI eliminates that uncertainty. Every element is defined mathematically — the refractive index of the glass, the colour and viscosity of the liquid, the condensation on the bottle surface — and can be adjusted until the result is exactly what the brand needs, without depending on the variables of a photography studio.
"A wine bottle in CGI is not a retouched photograph. It is a mathematical recreation of the object, with absolute control over light, liquid and materials."
What CGI can do that photography cannot
Total control over liquids and materials
The optical behaviour of liquids — colour, transparency, internal reflections — is the hardest element to control in a traditional shoot. In CGI, every parameter is defined with absolute precision: the colour of the wine, the foam of the beer, the bubbles of a sparkling wine or the opacity of a smoothie.
Multiple variants from a single model
The same container in different sizes, label designs, finishes or product variants — from a standard 75cl bottle to a magnum — all generated from a single 3D model, without needing the physical product for each variant.
Shots impossible for a camera
Travelling through the liquid inside a glass, showing the interior of a sealed container, capturing the exact moment of a beer overflow or creating an impossible perspective for any lens. CGI has no physical limitations.
Content before the physical product exists
For new product launches or packaging redesigns, CGI allows the complete visual content — campaigns, e-commerce imagery, social media — to be produced before the first unit leaves the factory.

Spirits and distillates
Whisky, gin, rum and premium spirits use packaging as a core part of their value proposition. The bottle communicates origin, craft and exclusivity before the consumer ever tastes the product. CGI allows every detail of the glass, the label engraving and the liquid colour to be shown with a fidelity impossible to achieve with conventional photography.
Wine and sparkling wine
For wineries and sparkling wine producers, CGI opens up possibilities that a physical shoot cannot cover: showing the inside of the bottle, capturing the moment of uncorking, recreating the movement of bubbles or generating visuals for special labels and formats before they go into production.
Beer and soft drinks
Condensation, the metallic shine of a can, the controlled overflow of a pint glass or a close-up of carbonated liquid are high-impact visual elements that in CGI can be recreated with total precision and repeated indefinitely across different campaigns.
Gourmet food and premium packaging
Oils, preserves, chocolates, gourmet products — when packaging has a refined design and the brand wants to communicate quality, CGI allows the product to be presented in environments and compositions that reinforce that premium positioning without the need to set up a photography studio.
The CGI production process for food and beverage
CGI production for the food and beverage sector follows the same phases as any 3D project, with particular attention to material accuracy and art direction:
Brief and art direction
We understand the product, the brand values and the intended channel — e-commerce, social media, packaging, advertising. We define the art direction: lighting, composition, atmosphere and visual narrative.
Packaging and material modelling
We model the container from the manufacturer's technical files or high-quality photographic references. The materials — glass, aluminium, plastic, paper — are recreated with their exact optical properties: reflections, transparency, texture.
Lighting, liquids and effects
Lighting defines the character of the product. We simulate the conditions of a high-end photography studio — with the advantage of being able to adjust every parameter. Liquid effects, condensation, foam and bubbles are added with total control over the final result.
Delivery in all formats
We deliver high-resolution static images for print and e-commerce, animated videos for social media and broadcast, and all necessary variants in a single production process.
